C4 - Crazy Canadian Cosmic Cats Camp needs DJ(s)
Come chill in the giant cat. Hammocks, lofts and swings inside a huge Maneki Neko cat head, with a friendly waving paw high in the air. Make a wish to the lucky cat, or become a cat yourself in our catification station.
The Crazy Canadian Cosmic Cat dome will rise out of the playa at the 9:00 plaza for the first time this year on the Playa. We are ON THE GRID! This 25' diameter (14' tall dome) is going to be a great mixture of chill spaces, hanging comfort zones, dance floor and interactive art both inside and out. Our theme camp (C4) is mainly made up of Ottawa / Toronto Burners and are looking for a few Canadian or 'honorary Canadian' DJ(s) who would be interested in camping with us.
Right now our sound system for the dome is going to be comprised of a portable CD player and a small speaker system (likely Cambridge/CL FPS1000 sound system). What we excel at with creativity and interactivity, we lack in tables, vinyl, mixer, kick-ass speakers.
Plans coming together to have pussy parties (gotta dress as one or be one) on Tuesday night and Friday night of the burn and low-key events on the other evenings (Ethel Merman cocktail hour anybody????) Likely musical ranges include house, ambient, techno, trance, goa or most other playa music forms (non-heavymetal or non-country).
If you have the equipment we're missing and are interested in joining a great camp in a great location, please post back to this message and I'll get you in touch with our yahoo group list for all the details. Once we have equipment, we may look for one-off DJ's to spin on nights along with main person as need demands.
Cheers,
RealDollJamie

I wrote "gotta dress as one or be one"
That should have wrote "gotta dress as one or have one".
Burning Man = not for the faint of heart!

HEy guys, I dont believe we are bringing the equipment you are looking for, but I am sure we can talk it over. We brought our stuff last year, and boy was it not fun cleaning our mixer when we got back. How ever, we are bringing records, and working on finding places to play. There are 3 of us, All dj's, and we are looking for a camp to join. Just a bit worried of not havin a family this year. We have not gotten word from our Reno group of last year. This makes us sad, because in our experiance, we would rather help a pre-existing camp a better camp. We're based from Indianapolis. Hey, if interested in possibly working something out, email [email protected]
Thanks guys

Has anyone ever tried...
Has anyone ever tried using 2 personal cd decks and a box with a crossfader and a switch for which side is monitored.
Many personal decks have 2 out plug-ins one could go to a performance amplified out via crossfader and the other to a headphone amp with the box having a switch to choose which deck gets amplified to the headphones.
