Can you win at Vortex Casino?

Post by DNAinVEGAS » Mon Aug 16, 2004 5:44 pm

The same people that brought you "HAVEN" in 2002, "FACILITY 463" in 2001, "Inhibition Research Labs" in 2000, and "SECTION 51" in 1999, now brings you "VORTEX CASINO" in 2004!

Same fun style, different theme! Play our unique games and "attempt" to win all 4 Black Hole Coordinate Keys. Then take a psychological Examination to see if you are fit for a mission into the Black Hole Adventure, schedule a time for launch, and "attempt" to complete it.

All along the way collecting beautiful laminated Badges signifying your accomplishments.

We have 4 "Chance Wheel" games, "Demon Draw" poker, and more. We have a Pawn shop for those who need more credits to play, and a gift shop to trade in your winnings for cool gifts. Our "Credits" even make cool gifts.

All games are designed for open minded adults who love to play and only adults may enter the Casino.

Want to be a Dealer, Host, or "Special Ops" worker for the Black Hole? No problem! Each day we will have Dealer School at various times before the Casino opens at night. Being a Dealer may not be for everyone, but those who pass school will reap great rewards and have a blast! LOL! Dealer School classes will be posted at the Casino entrance.

We are located at Esplanade and 8:30. See you there!

I am so intrigued by the website...This is the first year that I'll have gone out so I don't know about any of the stuff you guys have done in the past but this sounds like the bomb. How do I get some credits to start with?
Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.

Getting Credits....

Post by DNAinVEGAS » Tue Aug 17, 2004 3:08 am

We have several ways to initially get Credits. First, there is the pawn shop where we will take pretty much anything. Then, just like real life, you can work for them in the Casino. I pay 10 to 20 Credits per hour depending on the position you choose. It's a lot of fun to do, trust me. LOL!

The most fun way is to "Quest" for them. Just like a scavanger Hunt, we will send you out into the city looking for something and pay Credits according to what it is. I mean, how hard would it be to find a Natural redhead Female between 18 and 25, 110 to 115 pounds, natural "C" cup in a mini-skirt to do a cheerleading routine topless in the Casino? Or and 6' 2" 185 pound man with long blond hair in a loin cloth to perform bodybuilding routines in the Casino? LOL! Or how about a Jack-in-the-Box french fry wrapper?

Get the idea? Lots of fun here! Hehe!

I'm so there! I live in Reno, but I never gamble because I find it to be rather evil. This on the other hand, sounds like just the sort of gambling I could waste away a day at.

Oh yeah, and can you just show up and volunteer to work?

I will definitely be at the Vortex casino. I'd like to work there a couple of days until my girlfriend gets out there on Thursday. Maybe we'll have enough credits to play together. I didn't want to send the elaborate application over the internet because, like I assume most of us are, at work (I'm sure my firm wouldn’t think highly of me applying for another job on their machine). Anyway, I hope you still need positions filled when I get out there on Monday. I do have extensive experience in this field of work. Possibly I can turn in a printed application? See you soon.

Everyone is welcome at Vortex! Unless your under 18 of course. I hate to impose age restrictions on a Burning Man theme camp, but BMORG is right, some things just shouldn't be viewed by minors.

I'll have Dealer School every day. Of course if you absolutely can't make it, just show up and we'll work something out. The games aren't your "normal" games and special care must be taken when working them due to the subject matter and interactions involved. Not everyone may be cut out to be a dealer at Vortex, but you may certainly try.

Can't wait to meet all of you there!

Dealer School is at 1:00pm - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

In School, you'll learn how to manage the "Credit" Wheel, "Exhibition" Wheel, "Action" Wheel, "Double-Dare" Wheel, Deal "Demon Draw", and manage the dice game "Shits".

Black Hole operations are reserved for Vortex Camp members only due to the intense content. However, we may allow "Challenge Masters" (Those who actually make it completely through without aborting the mission) to become Technicians if they wish. These will be few and far between I think.
