I think of the smashing pumpkins video 'tonight tonight' which was done as a tribute to the ORIGNAL trick move photographer George Melies (can't remember how to spell his name, not gonna look it up phtphtphtpht). The man in the moon made of green cheese, spaceships launched from backyards, stars as chariots, overbuilt space props flying across a stage where the strings are almost invisible...
The 'Ether' goes right along with what I think this year's theme is:
Ether - noun
1) The regions of space beyond the earth's atmosphere; the heavens.
2) The element believed in ancient and medieval civilizations to fill all space above the sphere of the moon and to compose the stars and planets.
3) Physics - An all-pervading, infinitely elastic, massless medium formerly postulated as the medium of propagation of electromagnetic waves.
(common definitions deleted)
The theme to me seems very science oriented, in a way that fits BM so well, shiny and fun space exploration.
Ron - didn't Atlas hold the Earth? or was it he could hold it if only he had a place to stand (a clever brag). I may be wrong, no biggie.

when i think of the vault of heaven I think of Playacast the vault of heaven.
Grand Whopping Bastard.
Is the Vault of Heaven locally convex????
F-spaces are complete topological vector spaces with a translation-invariant metric. These include Lp spaces for all p > 0. A locally convex F-space is a Fréchet space.
Witness the F-SPACE phenomena nightly on the playa, or stop by the camp at 9:00 and Esplanade.
