Why not? There's plenty of unmoderated forums if you get kicked off this one.DallasPlaya wrote:[

Radical Censoreship from the Powers That Be! On line power trips and "play nice hectoring."
LCD is boring and bland. Is that what BM will become?
Fight for the fifth freedom!
BB, all- they are having a laugh. Relax, it's playa humor.Bay Bridge Sue wrote:I was driving my work truck out there at the requisite <5 MPH (it idles in 4wd low at about 2 mph) and got a lot of "slow the fuck downs" as well. All I can think of is they saw a truck out there sans side markings (tho it was a staff vehicle) and felt it OK to yell.
Then again, I heard the same retort given to an ambulance and to the QRV's out there as well - with their lights going. Guess you can't please all of the people...

This is an outstanding idea. I will bring it up at the meeting. This would be a volunteer position and it would probably have to be signed up for through the BM website- but it's a great idea and probably should be implimented. It's not a rule that you have to pass through but the option would be available. Also, it might be good idea for those doing the checking to give some reminders about safe driving.theCryptofishist wrote:Okay--would it be helpful if people with tie down experience checked loads during exodus?
You get a gold star.

Yep... kind of like the "it's all fun and games until..." quote of a friend of mine... I'll be sure to tell that to the next-of-kin.
Don't get me wrong - I'm all about having a good time out there, and those who know me know my wicked and wierd sense of humor... I love a good laugh along with the rest... but (you can thank my default job for this) when it becomes life and death, the good times end and the work begins... and my sense of humor can diminish to a mean approximate value of... lessee... about 0. Maybe less. Trust me - you wouldn't like that side of me. (All I need is the green skin and oversteroided body...)
Deal with life and death on a daily basis - and lose a few. And you'll understand. Tho I honestly hope you never, ever have to understand.
Damn, I'm off work - shut me up, someone... PLEASE!
Where's my Makers?...
