WTF? Like ISO said - its a felony. Flag down a LEO, they are all over the effing place. Go to REMSA, or ESD Station 3, or ESD Station 9. There are hundreds of radios out there.POWERCHAIR wrote:Yes it toke some time but we ID him with no help from the BRC rangers.
I have a pic of him but i wont post it.
And the BRC rangers did nothing to but give me a hard time and no help on playa.
If someone drugged a friend of mine, and I had them in hand I would certainly call LE. They would be in prison right there in Lovelock.

Re: Date Rape
Ouch that hurts. A blow to the belly.SFBurnergrrrl wrote:@ the representative from B. E. D. Maybe you should rethink your position and try to find someone a bit more qualified to replace you.
I think you were raped. I thought you were raped when I hadn't read your blog, and I reading it just made me hurt and angry and frustrated with the situation.
I'm sorry I expressed myself in such a way that you felt taht I didn't believe. I was being a little cowardly and equivocal, because I hadn't read the blog, just the responses.
I haven't been on the board since then, because I wanted to read what you had written before saying more.

Agreed. I think that I would emphasize the "target" aspect, that they can "smell fear" well not fear, but the wavering and ambiguity that means that they will be able to muddy the waters and leave their victims not simply raped, but also confused and conflicted about it.Isotopia wrote:Of course not. To assume as much verges on the insanity that is paranoia. However, a healthy awareness of one's surroundings coupled with common sense behavior goes a long ways ensuring you don't get culled from the larger herd by by predators. So I pose this question to you Isotopia: Should you have to assume that every other human being may rape you? The question is asking if that is the world you want to live in. The fact is we do live in that world but is it right to just accept it or should we fight kicking and screaming to change it?
Perhaps the analogy is a weak one but my personal belief is that stalkers, rapists and other sexual predators behave very, very much like a top-of-pyramid hunting animal. They lie in wait, the seek and target their prey - usually quite methodically, they isolate and follow up with initially wounding or incapacitating them before going in for the final assault. There really isn't much of a difference.
I've seen some of the underbelly too. Not as long and not as intimately, but there's stuff that...Isotopia wrote:I'll just note that there's an under belly to the event that most people are completely unaware of and never hear about. I've seen it too many times and it isn't pretty. As someone the event these days is very much a reflection of the society that makes up the default world. Same creep, same predators, same clueless assholes and same good and decent people.

Thank you. I can understand a little skepticism of how clean cut this situation is (isn't) but I can't accept blaming the victim under any circumstances! Putting yourself in a stupid situation doesn't mean you deserve what happens to you.theCryptofishist wrote:Infuckingdeed.ygmir wrote:Fire_Moose wrote:Wow what a psycho feminist bish.

Actually I did ask him. If you read my blog again you will see how he responded. I've tried to contact him over the years and talk to him about it and he refuses to speak to me. Do you think if someone raped you they're reall going to sit down an talk to you about it? Probably not. I naively thought, at times, over the years that there could be a possibility of healing if we could talk about everything.
Also, I'm not you, I don't get drunk, black out and have sex willingly with guys and then not remember it the next day. Maybe you don't really do it willingly either.

The following are all replies that Detroit women have written on Child Support Agency Forms in the section for listing 'Father's Details,' or putting it another way.... Who's your Daddy? These are genuine excerpts from the forms. Be sure to check out #11, it takes 1st prize, and #3 is runner up.
1. Regarding the identity of the father of my twins, Makeeshia was fathered by Maclearndon McKinley I am unsure as to the identity of the father of Marlinda, but I believe that she was conceived on the same night.
2... I am unsure, as to the identity of the father of my child as I was being sick out of a window when taken unexpectedly from behind. I can provide you with a list of names of men that I think were at the party if this helps.
3. I do not know the name of the father of my little girl. She was conceived at a party at 3600 East Grand Boulevard where I had sex with a man I met that night. I do remember that the sex was so good that I fainted. If you do manage to track down the father, can you please send me his phone number? Thanks...
4. I don't know the identity of the father of my daughter. He drives a BMW that now has a hole made by my stiletto in one of the door panels. Perhaps you can contact BMW service stations in this area and see if he's had it replaced.
5. I have never had sex with a man. I am still a Virginian. I am awaiting a letter from the Pope confirming that my son's conception was ejaculate and that he is the Saver risen again.
6. I cannot tell you the name of Alleshia's dad as he informs me that to do so would blow his cover and that would have cataclysmic implications for the economy. I am torn between doing right by you and right by the country.. Please advise.
7. I do not know who the father of my child was as they all look the same to me.
8. Tyrone Hairston is the father of child A. If you do catch up with him, can you axe him what he did with my AC/DC CDs? Child B who was also borned at the same time..... well, I don't have clue..
9. From the dates it seems that my daughter was conceived at Disney World. Maybe it really is the Magic Kingdom .
10. So much about that night is a blur. The only thing that I remember for sure is Delia Smith did a program about eggs earlier in the evening. If I had stayed in and watched more TV rather than going to the party at 8956 Miller Ave, mine might have remained unfertilized.
11. I am unsure as to the identity of the father of my baby, after all, like when you eat a can of beans you can't be sure which one made you fart.

Achem.. Where was I? Oh yes. So something happened to her (She isn't sure, I sure as hell am not sure on what happened to her either) but she's pretty sure she isn't happy about it. I don't think she ever said that it's time for an era in which women rule the world. Don't worry, we've had a pretty good run as masters of our domain since mankind began walking upright, I don't think it's going to change drastically any time soon.
But she's angry. Yeah, sure she's angry. Considering how shitty drunk sex is I can only imagine how bad black out drunk sex must be. It takes a real dip-shit to jump on the opportunity in-spite how bad it's going to be, especially when there's a good chance someone's not going to remember it.
Maybe I'm a romantic, Maybe I've just led too many health and sex awareness workshops but for christ sake just ask for permission when all parties are fully sober. Once you've agreed to the boundaries then go hog wild.
Now back to your first point, women taking over the world and castrating all the men. Not a bad idea, really. Here's why: Even if what I said above does happen and everyone is fully sober and able to speak their minds clearly there's no reason to think they will! Women have been subservient to men for generations and because of a socially accepted mindset that women somehow serve men they aren't always as willing to stand up for themselves. Many women are. In my experience most the Burners women I've met are tough as nails.. but not all. We have failed multiple times over to create an equal footing for everyone to voice their opinion in the bedroom. Cricket, exactly what do you think blackout means?
No one wears a sign that says 'I'm this drunk now and won't remember when I wake up'.
I don't think the mechanism is well understood.
Look up sex somnia.
Very little on the net about it now, but elsewhere there is more.
There is probably a relationship to blackouts.

(Okay, I'm not really impressed with the whole castration/takeover bit, but since as far as I can tell, it's a straw man, I'm glad someone called him on it.)

You never answered my question.
In my experience, very little alcohol is necessary to "cause" a blackout.
From what I'm told, I've done it at least twice myself.
Maybe it's happened more often and I'm just unaware?
What I have seen on tv about sex somnia, said that alcohol is often a trigger, but lack of sleep and fatigue seem to be bigger factors.
I don't think it's the same thing, but it must have a connection.

Well, I fully admit my ignorance. There are lots of things that can make someone black out. Being drunk is one of them. If someone is drunk, don't trust that they will remember what they say. ...The fact that you can't always trust someone who's sober to remember either doesn't change the fact that you definitely should not trust someone who's drunk.gyre wrote:You never answered my question.
