i love the moment when the camp adjacent to us realizes that we are running close to 140,000 watts of teeth rattling, kidney stone dissolving sound, with 33,000 watts just for the subwoofers alone, and they pack up and leave.

it's just so sweet, the power of of the thump, the rage of the oooontz oooontz ooontz, the Grandeur that is Mind-Numbing Bass.

i'm having a petit-mal just thinking about it.

yeah, i know i'm weird.

This is a bit of an odd response, but my favorite thing about Burning Man is Thursday. By Thursday everyone who should be a BM are there and the weekender yahoos haven't arrived yet. Couple that with Thursday is when the ePlaya/3playa Meet & Greet is held and we get to spend two or three hours with the denizens of this forum, well, that is always special. You're acclimated to the dust and noise, you've met your neighbors and the party is on, and you have figured out how to find your camp at night before the hangover sets in. Thursday. It's what Burning Man should be.

Ahh yes, the hidden pleasures of observing other peoples misery! I think that is why the shows "Cops" and "Cheaters" are so popular.

Favorite thing, bar none is meeting people. I meet about 10 times the amount of people in one week than I do in Reno all year!

I love the magic in the air. The way I have to reassure myself multiple times that it is ACTUALLY HAPPENING and it's not one of those amazing/exciting dreams I tend to have.
So much energy about the place, it's hard to even fathom.
