I've toyed with this myself. At some point some asshole might bring some of "his" own trash and win the cd plus have less garbage to take home.

How do you authenticate moop?
...

putting down tarps and carpeting probably isn't financially practical, but you could add that too.
They already do that. From what Simon said, they work a whole lot on moop, but just can't get passed that hump. The link in further up this thread.

It's worth noting that MOOP is not the only thing that can get an area labeled as a red LNT zone. Fluid spills, stake and other structure holes, burn scars, trenching from electrical lines, abandoned bicycles, and other non-MOOP "traces" are also taken into account.
“We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.”

So maybe the large sound camps get a red because all of the dancing has worn deep depressions into the playa ?

^WTF indeed...

on topic again: I was at opulent all night wednesday, an around 7am saw a guy with several trashbags mooping for aluminum cans and plastic water bottles.

After personally thanking him, he explained that its a win-win activity, since he can cart all the recyclables back to california and make back the value of his ticket by returning them for refunds.

Possibly that strap-on? It's not often you see such an ugly penis on such an attractive woman.

Imagehatmaking was the main trade in Stockport, near where Carroll grew up.
It was not unusual then for hatters to appear disturbed or mentally
confused; many died early as a result of mercury poisoning. However, the
Mad Hatter does not exhibit the symptoms of mercury poisoning, which
include

"excessive timidity, diffidence, increasing shyness, loss of self-confidence, anxiety, and a desire to remain unobserved and unobtrusive."

Coming from a past of Raving, i left that scene because its heart was gone. It wasnt about Love, respect, and peace anymore. I came to burnging man to find people who had this respect for eachother and the earth, and I was sad to see that the areas that had the most beer cans, trash, and other moop (as seen on the map) were the large camps playing mainstream trance. The night that Christopher Lawrence played was the worst!

True it is of the individual's responsibility to pick up after themselves, but the camp who is attracting a pattern of moopers should be responsible for leaving NO TRACE at the campsite that they built.

Most of the moop at my camp was not from us... Yet our area was green as can be (I dont remember bringing astroturf?)

It's been apparent for a long time that OT needs to change. Not only should they find an army of moopers to clean up after the people who come there to participate, they need to hire their own bank of porta potties--because, frankly, the toilets near the sound camps are a fucking mess. After all the expense of putting on a dance camp, the extra expense cost will be as nothing in comparison. And given the tendency or ravers to be so high on e or plur that they can't find their own butts, it's obvious that OT needs a cadre of highly skilled butt wipers, graduated from the DPW Buttwiping Bootstrap program.
