SECURE YOUR LOADS!!!
Sunday saw reports of everything from fuel cans to a mattress lost onto the roads.
People were pulled over, running out into the lanes of traffic (think Darwin; and on I-80) and exposed again while they reload or tie things down.

Maps are no longer showing an issue at the gas station going West out of Wadsworth towards I-80... could they be out of gas?
Aaaand it's back to dark red at the gas station.

Gerlach webcam: Nice flow and spacing of groups of vehicles going through Geralch. Same when seen in the background heading South on 447.

Thought I saw my first exception to that, but it was a truck coming North seen between two cars heading South.

Wish there was a cam in Nixon and Wadsworth.

To the North, no traffic visible at the Cedar Pass cam.

Monday 11:00 AM
I-80 Westbound from the Nevada border to Roseville is experiences multiple stretches with slowdowns and heavy slowdowns.

I-80 Westbound into/outof Truckee and 89 Northbound into Truckee are just screwed.
Soda Springs to Troy is somewhat better than Truckee.

Reports blame it on Holiday Traffic.

Continued good flow through Gerlach!

Continued moderate to heavy traffic Wadsworth to I-80, particularly Westbound and the gas station.

Only getting worse. Length of the sections of congestion and their number.

I-80 Westbound into/outof Truckee and 89 Northbound into Truckee are just screwed. 7 miles of congestion starting East of Truckee and ending at Donner Lake, with 5 miles of congestion feeding into that from the south from 89.
Soda Springs congestion now extends to Yubba Pass, mostly somewhat better than Truckee.

Reno good.
Continued good flow through Gerlach!
Continued moderate to heavy traffic Wadsworth to I-80, particularly Westbound and the gas station.

So far, no issues showing up for I-80 Eastbound from Fernley all the way to Salt Lake, except for a minor slowdown for construction lanes in Wells. All low volume.

We left BRC at 5 AM. It took me 6 hours to hit the pavement. But other than the usual asshats trying to drive ill-maintained vehicles for which they are inexperienced drivers, once you got through Gerlach, things really opened-up. A few minor issues (stalls, flats), but speeds kept right at 45-50 mph most of the way from Gerlach to Wadsworth. A goodly amount of patience and good humor was also observed.

The bad news is there was lots of moop everywhere. Mattresses, bags of trash, several bikes, painted wood, coolers, etc. All definitely burner residue. :(

Latest from Burning Man Traffic https://twitter.com/bmantraffic
Still seeing heavy traffic exiting out of the BRC. the wait is 5-6 hours! Best to wait and get some rest.
Exit time from BRC to Country Road 34 remains at 5-6 hours. Consider waiting until Tuesday morning to leave the city.

Monday, just before 6:00 PM
Burning Man Taffic:
Exit time from BRC has improved to 4 to 5 hours, but that still puts drivers on the road in the dark of night. We recommend leaving Tuesday.
"puts drivers on the road in the dark of night"
Buttercup doesn't like the dark?
Or org political correctness?
Many coming from long distances away prefer to drive overnight. If one is properly rested and/or switching out drivers, it's often the preferred way to go.

It was Katie Perry. I think it's either her bra or her sharp wit. Probably her bra.
