Hmmm.....
We were camped at 5:30c I think and we had the pleasure of being awoken every morning by the same c.d. We never actually traced the music back to it's source to congradulate the heroes who made the four track disc.
On it was: Dangerzone(Top-gun theme)
Eye of the tiger
Rock you like a hurricane
and one other powerballad classic which escapes my mind at the minute.
Kudos to those burners, for sheer comedy value, it was the best wakeup Ive ever had.

For me it happened during exodus. We had just made it back onto blacktop and I grabbed the 'ol MP3 player and hit random. The first song that came on was Iron Maidens "The Number of the Beast"
The timing was perfect. right at that weird moment when the playa was a freshly minted memory, and no longer the immediate reality. I don't think that in the moment any other song could have so greatly summed up my feelings.
I lived alone my mind was blank
I needed time to think to get the memories from my mind
What did I see? Could I believe? That what I saw
that night was real and not just fantasy
Just what I saw in my old dreams were they
reflections of my warped mind staring back at me?
'Cause in my dreams it's always there the evil face that twists my mind
and brings me to despair
Night was black was no use holding back
'Cause I just had to see was someone watching me
In the mist dark figures move and twist
was all this for real or just some kind of hell
6-6-6 the Number of the Beast
Hell and fire was spawned to be released
Torches blazed and sacred chants were phrased
as they start to cry hands held to the sky
In the night the fires are burning bright
the ritual has begun Satan's work is done
6-6-6 the Number of the Beast
Sacrifice is going on tonight
This can't go on I must inform the Lord
Can this still be real or just some crazy dream?
but I feel drawn towards the chanting hordes
seem to mesmerise...can't avoid their eyes
6-6-6 the Number of the Beast
6-6-6 the one for you and me
I'm coming back I will return
And I'll possess your body and I'll make you burn
I'll have the fire I'll have the force
I'll have the power to make my evil take its course

Bullshit makes the flowers grow, and that's beautiful.

My daughter, who is 8, HATES heavy metal. She is always yelling at me to turn it down, or please turn that off it scares me. I tell her if its too loud your too old but I don't think she gets it. Sigh. Oh well, at least she not into the Hanna Montana type stuff. Now that is truly evil.

U2-Vertigo.
You can sing it to almost techno dance song you'd hear walking across the Playa.
