Man Accused of Assault at Burning Man While Dressed As Clown Tracked Down by Victim's Friends

RENO, Nev. Aug 18, 2005 — A man dressed as a clown who assaulted another man and stole his bicycle at last year's Burning Man festival has been sentenced after the victim's friends tracked down the disguised assailant.

p.s. For you newbs, this kind of behavior is pretty rare. FYI. No worries. If anybody messes with you at MY event, come talk to me and we'll go beat some ass.

Nostradamus foretold of a time when the Politics and Philosophy threads would be full....And that then, the clowns would walk the playa.

Justice delayed but at least it's not justice denied.

I have a short list of things I despise in the world. Deer would be on the list, clowns are right behind them. The only reason I tolerate them at all is I do respect the history and artistry behind what they do. I will look from a distance. But get one in my face and it won't be a pleasant encounter.

It's great the guy got punished . But i think the bailif's should have thrown him to the ground and kicked his ass and then of course broke his arm. Now thats justice.

So i read the article and he says
" Gee Im really sorry,Im usually not such a physco...Im a nice clown...

The only good clown is a dead clown I always thought but then Im not usually such a phsyco for saying such crazy things...Im a nice person....

Its all hearts and flowers and pies in the eye until the cycle starts over again and again. When clowns ATTACK.

What about that Nambla the Clown guy who's in so many pictures on the BM site? I thought that everyone adored him.

I saw him on the playa in 2000 and he had this really weird giant candle thing on his head and I reached out to touch it and he screamed at me. He really lost it. It was innocent enough. Dirty clown.

Next time I see you, Sam, be sure and ask me to do my special clown voice for you. Pretty pretty pretty!

I'll certainly remember to ask for the special clown voice. It's too creepy a request to forget.
