Bikes in Gerlach?

A friend sent around an email a couple of hours ago asking about the bike guy that was in Gerlach last year. Does anyone have any information about this at all? Things like, did you get a bike from him that worked, will he be around this year? That sort of thing.

I thought I already posted about this but last year on the way in (at night) there was a guy selling bikes for super cheap. I think what happens is he picks-up the bikes that are left behind and re-sell them to people on the way in to benefit the local community. More info here, I think:

I'm debating whether to bring my brand new bike -- mostly because I'm 6'6" and it actually fits me comfortably.
