Exactly. Why fight millions of years of evolution and the hormones that are rushing through our veins? Might as well go with the flow.

In some ways I'd agree with you. The skills that are necessary for successful monogamous relationships are needed in spades for polyamorous ones.

On the other hand, some people are not well suited to monogamy, and so will never be experts at ordinary relationships, which are contrary to their nature. For those people, expertise (or at least success) at poly relationships may well come more easily than success at mono relationships, simply because the poly model fits them better.

so, by this logic, I ought to attempt to mame you brutally when you make advances toward women I deem in my group. Also, I ought to start practicing rampant infanticide in order to assure paternity and secure resources for my spawn.

I suspect my only qualification is that I don't seem to possess a jealousy gene. Maybe that's a start, but history indicates that the statistical likelihood of multiple partners going for me simultaneously is near zero.

A lack of jealousy does come in very handy!

I know what you mean about the statitstical likelihood, having had much the same consideration myself, but you might be pleasantly surprised what happens when you hang around poly people. I know I have been!

Different species have different needs. Even among primates it varies from species to species. Bonobo chimpanzees are very poly and bisexual. The more "common" chimp has relations that are similar to serial monogamy with some openess. Gorillas have harems.

Human beings have evolved towards monogamy or at least serial monogamy. This was a necessary adaptation that ensured human infants and children, that are helpless much longer than other primates, have the protection of two parents. Also, female humans became more sexually receptive (not just during esterous) to keep the males around longer.

Ewwwww. Crispy skin is the only way to go. Crunching through the skin to get at the delicate tender flesh underneath is much more pleasurable.

So this year I went prepared to the TOAs slave auction, though I still managed to arrive a little late. I brought a box of chocolate pudding cups, some cookies, and a bottle of scotch, cause I know the temple likes chocolate and liquor.

So one guy was on the block as a "makeover" slave. He had a wicked outfit on, so I figured he knew what he was doing, so I won him with a bid of pudding and cookies. He came back to my camp, cleaned me up, and then put me in a wicked cool outfit of his own design. After the make over, came the make out. I think it might have been my first time with a guy older than me. He was very hot.

i've never seen as much sex on the playa as in 1999. i had wandered over to biancas in the wee hours of the morning. her place was over by 2:00 or so that year.

i was tripping hard on some fungus (not a typical thing for me to do) so i sat down on a love seat and tripped on the lights and music while my friend danced in another area of the tent.

i had been sitting there for about 20 minutes, looking around at things that were in the near distance. suddenly i looked just beside me to my left and there was a couple in their 50's or older, almost naked and on the verge of penetration. YIKES! i looked at another couch to my left where a guy was giving anouther guy a handjob. directly ahead of me was a group of 4 guys giving a guy head. some chick was flitting around with a tu-tu on and no panties, sitting on the hands of anyone who offered.

there was more, everywhere i looked. i stayed about 4 hours just watching the happenings. i wish i'd have participated, but i'm too shy for that, and besides, it never once occured to me. lol.

i made it back to biancas in 2000, and 2001, but was never fortunate enough to stumble upon anything so wonderful again. i always hear about the orgy/sex camps AFTER the fact, which is a bummer.

Lora, believe me, he remembers everything! Down to the most minute detail. I guess he was trying to asuage his Jewish guilt. Or something.

I do remember a firebarrel encounter that I wish didn't end when it did. Shyness is bad sometimes.

My first year out at BM (2001), my husband and I went out to visit the man while we were tripping. Seeing as it was my first year out I was extremely horny(a condition my hubby calls "wet by fire") so when we got under the man's legs, I grabbed him and we started making out.

So, I'm getting really hot, and really hoping that he'll fuck me there and then, when suddenly...He stops.

So I say, "Babe?"

To which he responds, "I'm sorry...I was distracted by the gorillas."

"What?!"

Right as I say this, a gorilla with blinky red eyes ambles by and says, "Ooo, ooo, ooo. I'm a gorilla!"

I fell out... I was laughing so hard that the gorilla came back to make sure I was ok. It ruined the mood, but it made my night!
