thank you

Post by drewsky » Sat Sep 10, 2005 3:43 pm

thank you to:

the woman who gave me a foot massage and told me that she sits behind a desk most of the year

the kid that came outta the shadows handing me a fat joint when i longed for it most

the peeps camping next to us that we all thought were 'stuck up'.
I enjoyed melting your iciness with a bottle of red wine.
we all became friends

the kind folks at heebeegeebees who showed us the ways to use our new found energies

a smile from Sting sittin across from me in a lecture on the harmonic convergence

the zip code man in center camp

the sno cone that was passed to me

the people who waved and smiled back to me every morning when i was feelin kinda grumpy

a conversation about youth from an older couple who have been together for many many years

the people at the gate who didn't ask for beer but got some anyway

the japanese girl on a bad trip allowing us to get her on a better one

the little toe-head kid who wouldn't let me pass without first drinking juice

finding out about New Orleans through whispers and not on CNN

my camp mate who brought the pop tarts

learning to use intention and seeing it happen 10 times a day

the coincidence of running into people from my past on the playa

all the people who show up early in the week and create the higher conciousness that keeps me there after the burn

THANK YOU !

Thank you to all the people who got there early and worked their asses off setting up for the rest of us to enjoy.

Thank you to the people who regularly re-stocked the hand sanitizer and gave our coffee kitchen an extra one.

Thank you to all the wonderful smiley happy customers at our cafe.

Thank you to all the people who loved me up in my crazy-face costume on burn night.

Thank you to the people at lost penguin for putting on excellent and funny musicals and serving wine and chocolate.

Thank you to all the folks who set up blacklight environments where I could get my freak on.

Thank you to the people who helped me keep our local porta-pottie row clean--especially the woman who showed up with a broom.

Thank you to all the people who returned my smiles--especially those of you that didn't plan on having any sort of an exchange.

Thank you to the artists, every single one of you, who brought or attempted to bring your creativity to the playa.

Thank you to all the givers. And thank you to all the receivers.

Thanks to the people who donated supplies to our coffeeshop.

Thanks to everyone on 9 o'clock--you were great neighbors!

Thanks to the folks who blasted Pink Floyd covers during camp takedown on Sunday, I really enjoyed your music selections.

Thanks to the big music camps around us for alternating blasting times for the most part.

Thanks to our neighbor for kindly moving his generator to a spot that worked better for our camp.

Thanks to the temple builders for carrying on the tradition and creating another serious healing spot on the playa.

Thanks to the clock builder for burning your art--that was the most awesome burn!

Thanks to Piss Clear--you make me laugh so hard--love the what's out and what's in column.

Thanks to e-playa for giving me a place to decompresh.

Thank you lobster girl for shaking my hand.

Thank you for taking a shitty pop can out of the porta-potty, whoever it was. I saw it the night before but didn't have the guts to take it out.

Thank you for refraining from taking it out yourself.
