2 Amazing Musicians On Top Level of Man AND Bad Idea Theater

Post by dav725 » Sun Sep 11, 2005 7:13 pm

2 of my favorite things this year...

One night 3 of us were journeying, ended up at the man and after going through the maze and making it up to the top there was an huge party going on there. There were two musicians playing great, fun versions of older songs like, "Que Sera Sera", and "Besame Mucho". Everyone was going crazy dancing. I asked them their name and they seemed surprised that someone wanted to know who they were. I don't remember what they told me....but I'd love to know who they are...get some of their music. It was really some of the best music I heard on the playa this year. Does anyone know who they are? One had longish blonde hair and played a guitar and the other played a drum.

Also, another fave was Bad Idea Theater. They just happened to be near our camp so they were often our last stop b4 heading home. Saw Frankenhooker and other great stuff. Does anyone know who they are, as I want to write and thank them.

All in all, one or two reservations (more on that later) aside, A GREAT burning man for me this year!!

I'm so glad Bad Idea Theater will be back.
You could film all your material on the playa.
Does anyone know if the evil vending machine will return?

The last advice it gave me was
Don't travel 2,000 miles to burning Man just to spend a week in a box in the desert. He was slightly more colorful, I think.

The Evil Vending Machine was my favorite thing on the playa last year. He had my friend & I rolling on the ground, and laughing so hard that we were crying. Please come back this year.

Evil Vending Machine - still a mystery

I've been trying to get an answer for you but no luck so far. But I'm thinking probably not. Evil Vending Machine was a project of Evil Jeff, and he's not gonna make it this year. Could be one of his buddies will bring it, but no word yet.

BIT camper Tweeze was also running the machine last year when Jeff was not on duty, so if it makes it to the playa it will mostly likely be in experienced hands.

Thanks for all the nice comments, I've tried to pass them along.

Larry

PS With any luck Bad Idea Theater will be open by evening of the first Sunday (27th). See ya!

Evil Rules !!!

Last I heard, somebody was bringing the Evil Vending machine out from Chicago. Unfortunately, Jeff AKA Dr. Evil will not be with us. Tweeze, his assistant resident evil, is suppose to make his Playa arrival mid day Tuesday. If we get him loaded enough we shove him in the box and see what happens.
