What an Experience ---and is there a lost & found?

Post by andre p » Thu Sep 15, 2005 11:04 pm

Well, this was my first year, it was incredible! I drank from a mobile Unicorn's ass, met people that I had always wanted to meet, had incredible experiences and felt like I really was home.

I was into demolitions in the service (peacetime), used to do makeup effects in Sacto, do photography and some video work.

I received a media pass for 2005, my first time doing anything like that, had a wonderful time and did not want to sleep, spent the whole week shooting thousands of photos, always getting model and property releases (which helped me meet even more people).

Unfortunately, when I went to the Burn, in the excitement I lost half of my memory chips that were in my lap. I stood up to grab my tripod and pack when the crowd surged (I was almost directly in front of the man). The little pouch had 1 GB, 1 512, a 256 or two and one or more 128mb compact flash chips. Some of the little chips had photos, which I feel more loss for than the actual memory.

If anyone knows who might have found them I would be happy to give a reward, plus my gratitude.

Anyway, I do not plan to miss next year or hopefully many more years. Loved every moment, even the dust contributed to the other-worldlyness of the event.

there is a lost & found section under the folder Year Round Connections. There is a section for gadgets and electronics.
