Weird Shit Stories in El Circo

Post by madmatt » Mon Sep 15, 2003 1:28 pm

Thursday and Friday night I ventured into El Circo with my brother, and we had to leave after about an hour (coulda been 5 minutes, who knows) because the vibe in there, while pleasant, was TOOOO INTENSE for us to handle. Oodles of bodies squirming sexually on the stage, awesome music, bare bodies dancing with eyes rolled up their heads.

So let's hear em folks, give us the dirt!!

I don'g understand how a single self respecting burner could have missed it entirely, unless of course you spent the entire burn at night at Pinky's and those other spots on the 9 oclock side. Anyhoooo. Those folks were summoning demons, I'm sure of it.

we were.
I took the road less traveled, and now I would like to go back and find the paved one.

Butterfly
"we were" what? Summoning demons? Which ones? Were they fun once they got there, or did it sort of end the party abruptly?

We were summoning demons, but I cant tell you much more because I left to get some water for my friends who were rolling, and I ran into this cute boy I knew from back home by the water and introduced him to my bunny. By the time I got back, the demons had left, they were really busy that night.

One thing I can tell you is that I saw a friend there who I was camping with, now, I didnt know this guy was gay untill I saw it on his friendster page, but I now belive that is a LIE! I think he only checked the box marked "Men" because there was no box marked "fire" I saw clear evidince that he is, in actuality, a PYROSEXUAL!
I took the road less traveled, and now I would like to go back and find the paved one.

el circo kicks major ass

Post by P-Mobius » Thu Sep 18, 2003 12:29 pm

so its friday afternoon and the word around my camp is
"go check out el circo at 2:00"
so after donning my orange jumpsuit and martian skullcap strolled on down with a buddy

they just blew me away--i try descibing it as cirque du solieil meets spawn--
i think part of their mystique is their costume/music/environment/vibe plays this intense polarity--is this angelic or demonic? and no clear answers are portrayed.
and its so sexy my god--
another way to describe it--they also had this midsummersnightdream crypto-gothic drow elf clannish thing happenning--hey its beyond words

the fact that i had fun leaves all that demonic stuff as just tounge and cheek--but it sure looks kinda cool. yeah it was intense---my friend took off i think because of that too--if the energy gets to dark and you dont know how to ride it--then leaving was the right thing. in the future though if you want to stay at things like that learn some psychic MAGIC--try casting some protection spell about you--youd be surprised how well it works...when that fails JUST PRAY!

anyway

i dug the ladies with the 6?-pronged handheld firewands
and the highpriestess/queens observing from above

also

i love how the friday night show just melted down into this funkn groovin rave and the stage platfroms turned into do go dancing pedestals for me to climb on. the music during the show was better and more diverse than afterwards...and sunday morning some dude rode off with my bike while i was in the dome and i never saw it again---
lessons in nonattachment

regardless

el circo ---WOW
just one awesome part of an awesome peaking friday night

Hi all, I loved spending time at the El Circo dome. Anyone knows the DJ line up or where to get the recordings?

Did you drink any punch? maybe you did go, and had a blast and dont remember it. That brings a question to mind - if you dont rememebr a kick ass time, does that mean it still happened?
