Burn the man (in a panorama from above)

Post by bradtem » Wed Sep 06, 2006 9:50 pm

Just back, and I won't have the full versions of my panoramas ready for a month, but I could not resist assembling a few of the burn itself, taken from high above.

Image

These are just preliminary versions. Later I will build better ones, and the daytime shots of the city, but I felt people might enjoy these with the burn fresh in their minds.

So go to the http://pic.templetons.com/brad/pano/bman06.html Prelminary 2006 Burning Man Panorama page, or just visit the http://www.templetons.com/brad/burn/ galleries of other years to bring back memories. I hope you saw many of these full size on the Playa at 8:45 and Esplanade this year, or used my phone booth or ATM there.

Holy crap! Wow!!
Resistance is futile...and thankfully so for the benefit of everyone who gets the pleasure of seeing that image.

That image is spectacular, a word I try not to use in relation to playa stuff. I can't help but use it this time.

Could not resist doing another one.

Here the fire conclave dances around the man before the burn ina 360.

Later I'll have ones after the crowd rushes the man and a close-up pre-burn too. Enjoy.

The first one is nice for when people at work want to see a little bit of what it's like. Epic!

Since the species natural instinct is to gravitate inexorably toward the flames and nudity, it is a mark of great strength that you can manage to get some perspecitve. Kudos.

Two new ones

Post by bradtem » Sat Sep 30, 2006 6:30 pm

I have put new new ones up on the page. Check out the URL.

(And just for the challenge, there's some nudity in the new wide angle one from the sugar cube. I like my flames and nudity as much as the next person. While only 5-10% of people at burning man go nude or topfree, it is no surprise that everybody's photography makes it seem like more. Let's face it, it's a more interesting and out of the ordinary photograph.)

I zoomed in on the brightened panorama of the burn and could actually clearly see myself and my whole crew...how cool is that?!

Thanks!!!!
