If anybody was anywhere near the 3'oclock keyhole, you obviously found out that you were...

Frighteningly, the thing we heard the most was variations of "do you have water", "where can I get water", "can I refill my water here" etc.

I don't think the newbies are reading the survival guide. This means things will get messy in a few years.

can i park my rv here?
did they burn the man yet?
can i leave my trash with you?

most overplayed song: "sexyback" for the debauched gate party....

we hit back with: wing, nomi, gunther and more during the awful audio battle royale while our Labverks neighbors offered up the Shags, the best
punishment for all those toxins the night before.......

its a love/hate relationship w/brc, which is why we also screened Zardoz...

take that all you "all i heard was crappy techno" types!

in a post apocolyptic future wasteland the soundtrack included:
shatner
nimoy
wing
gunther
the shags
"little" joe pesci
mae west
phyllis diller
xavier hollander
moog versions of Bach/popcorn
barking dogs covering the beatles catalogue
improvised harry potter narratives at 5am
klaus nomi
jellifish PA announcements over a warped recording of "its a small world"
white zombie/radiohead mash-ups
24 straight hours of karaoke "my ding-a-ling"

and much much more....
you can have your springbreak "dance" camps any old time, we'll be back with more of the worst audio we can find next year.........

"rasputin" was actually a "hit" for boney m in the wayback machine, and they were sort of big for their time. "nightflight to venus" is my favorite boney m intro......

we salute omar s. at club verboten for his unabashed boney m-ness.

it was purposefully done during the day as to not incite a fullblown neighborhood war. i may be a tactless asshole , but i do my best to not be downright insensitive with audio, especially from 4am-11am in brc.
we're usually funnier with at least some sleep, and rule #1 is youre not as funny as you think you are whilst "high" and restfully deprived......

we moved away from the 2/10 streets long ago since those systems rarely sleep, and there is only so much of the "double dutch bus" remix on repeat i can stand, under any circumstances, anywhere on earth.

i will never tire of miss kitten, however. and we always play alot of Coil for the interactive screen - scares the hippies, and i loves them.

would love to compile / trade awful tracks, ala international mixtape project.
please pm me if you wanna do it.

Shpace eist good... IN SHPACE!

Thanks Purple Cricket, Jedi Dale, and d6, for your observations of our permutations. We like you. We like Shpace. Next year's infection of the language at BRC will be "Take it to Zsu Zsu".

I thought it was uber fun to leave The Shaggs' "My Pal Foot Foot" playing on repeat while I made an ice run. Came back to my angry campmates, not becuase of the song. They had to fend off the neighbors trying to reason and then relocate our speakers. Next time I'll fight my own battle... a war on Foot Foot!

I loooooove pointing the speakers at Android's Dungeon and then flanking their evil audio so people would hurry to walk by both of us. I still do not qualify to fondle d6's mp3 player when it comes to a collection of real "street cleaners"! Rock on... or most certainly don't.

I dig Bony M's "Rasputin"... it's one of those seventies songs that got lost in Eighties hair gel at some point... thanks for the info d6!

After hearing "My Pal foot foot" on replay and not knowing who (or what) it was, I seriously concluded that it was two Chinese girls singing karaoke! I had no idea it was actually a band! lol

My Pal Foot Foot

My pal's name is Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
He always likes to roam
My pal's name is Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
I never find him home

I go to his house
Knock at his door
People come out and say
Foot Foot don't live here no more

My pal Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
Always likes to roam
My pal Foot Foot (Foot Foot)
Now he has no home

Where will Foot Foot go
What will Foot Foot do
Oh, Foot Foot
I wish I could find you

I've looked here, I've looked there
I've looked everywhere
Oh, Foot Foot
Why can't I find you?

Foot Foot, where can you be?
Foot Foot, why won't you answer me?
Foot Foot, Oh Foot Foot
Wherever you are
I want you to come home with me

I don't have time to roam
I have things to do
I have to go home
Oh, Foot Foot, where are you?

If Foot Foot didn't like to roam so well
He would still have a place to dwell
Foot Foot, please answer me
I know where you are
You're behind that tree

Foot Foot, please come to me
Foot Foot, now that you're here
Won't you come home
Foot Foot, promise me this
That you will never again roam

HAHAHAHAHA! We were dying over the Foot Foot track! For awhile we actually thought it was a live performance until it repeated the 3rd or 4th time. What a hideous piece of music! The only redeeming thing about it was the blessed silence when it ended!!! Thanks for sharing!

Woof!

"hideous piece of music" camp just may be the way to go - i cant currently think of a better "american dream" tie-in...........

"my pal foot foot" will be hard to match, although i'm thinking the "john gavanti" record might come close - (its a curious saxa-mo-phone laden, goofy accented retelling of man of lamancha circa 1980 by no-waver sumner crane) - its right up there w/my "how to cb", "lets disco" and many "comedy" albums from the mid 60's.........

maybe we'll just go with:
"phenomenal dj camp" instead, to attract a bigger audience.....
ex:
"hideous piece of music internment camp presents phenomenal dj nite"

i think i'll need to build a locking holding pen or something............

we did actually hear "our djs are phenomenal" too much

d6,
the pudding stain of the skidmark museum

"I can't believe how dusty it is."

"I'm covered in dust."

"Do you guys have any food?"

"Where is an ATM?"

At Ice 9: "Can I pay with my debit card?"

Most Over Used Buzz Words or Phrases at BM 07

Post by JediDale » Thu Sep 06, 2007 1:27 pm

First of all, ejacubate all those freeloaders bum phrases such as "Got water Man?" "Gimme food!" "Which way to(X)" Etc.

What we are talking about is phrases that are camp or village related somewhat. Particularily ARTISTIC in nature type phrases. JellyFish's
"In Space" has to do with his theme camp. C'mon now, lets be creative people!!
