Everyone seems to be bitching about Gigsville... WTF?

Art Cars; a Mobile Bar, a Garage (Skynyrd) that saved so many
people when something broke, Shade & Misting on Coral Reef,
Pig Roasting & Food for many... eta...eta..eta.

What is everyone bitching about?

Gigsville is by far one of the most solid, giving, friendliest places
on the playa...

As long as people don't behave like idiots/assholes you're get along
just fine. If they are, we're far more proactive about dealing with
those kind of people.

If you had a bad experience, you might have deserved it; if not for
the thin skinned or sarcasm impaired hippie / druggie / raver / jock
people that wander through being assholes, I sure everyone else
had a good time.

Best damn neighborhood on the playa! I am so glad to have been a part of Gigsville! Anyone bitching is just jealous.

As near as I can tell, the only reason Gigsville is in a good neighborhood is that they share it with Wheeeee!Ville.

Gigsville! Early home of the Great Canadian Beaver Eating Contest, home of the Island of Misfit Strippers, The CarBque. I have so many fond memories of that place and I have never even camped there. It will always be one of my favorite places to visit. Who could ever speak a negative word?

A mysterious stranger helped me out in the thursday dust storm, the one time I left camp w/out mask & goggles. He wandered out of the dust and handed me a mask & brand new mil-spec gogs. M*A*S*H 4207th salutes him and Gigsville!

I honestly couldn't find an entrance to Gigsville. You also have to keep in mind that I didn't feel a need to wonder between tents/rv's mostly to give people privacy, and not to run into unmarked rebar.

It's not about the assholes, as you say, that are the problem, its about the assholes or might I say, the pretentious assholes camped in gigsville that are the main source of all the problems in BRC!

I didn't visit Gigsville this year, but in the past Hushville was placed directly across from them. Perfect neighbors.

Twas an actual piggie unjon.. though we did watch super troopers the first night. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi.. was real nice meeting ya since by then I had very limited mobility and couldn't get far from camp. The luau was great even though all the hippies left after the food was gone.

I really miss gigsville.. I haven't slept right in days its so fucking quiet. I think I will go play some death metal now and try to close my eyes with my head in my playafied sleeping bag.

[color=indigo][/color] Pink Elephant Camp enjoyed being across from Gigsville! From performing CPR on the alien, to sharing w(h)ine and cheese and having the wonderful pie-man as a marker towards "home" ... it was great!

And needless to say, Uberman saved my ass once or twice when I was trying to find my bearings
wandering around the neighborhood on Sunday.

Now that would be a wonderful power for Gigsville to have but I highly doubt Gigsville is the source of **all problems in BRC**. Interesting point of view though.

knowing that you didn't go to BM this year makes me wonder what your problem is with Gigsville, especialy to be asking about the rebar. Nice try to stir things up though.

We drove down Coral Reef on the ugly dragon art car when the rainbow thing was going down.

Some Villains were playing beer softball in the middle of the street.

We ran over all the beer cans and blew them up.
Villains threw remaining beer cans at us.
They exploded on the back of the art car

We all laughed.

It was good.

BTW, since when did you two villains care about what the fish-fry think?

I've never heard anyone with an actual legitimate gripe say anything bad about Gigsville. I think it's mostly just insiders spreading rumors and propaganda to keep the rif-raf out.

Gigsville is what a village should be at BRC. They look out for one-another, they welcome visitors and at the same time they take care of problems that need to be taken care of.

No need for BLM in gigsville, they police their own stuff. (although you are probably safer being apprehended by the cops. )
