Who would LOVE to see DJ Aphrodite play the playa this year?
How many Aphroheads do we have out there? He has never been and I am IN PROCESS of bringing him... I would not want anyone to miss his sets, so I would like to gather a little tribe here to announce what they will be as soon as I have them confirmed.
Much dusty love to all!

"Godfather of Jungle"
For those unfamiliar with Aphrodite, I thought I would share his official site as well as a bio I found on Wiki (that's where I pulled Godfather of Jungle, though I have heard that before)
One of the things I truly love about this man, is that even though he has been drawing crowds of 50,000 to the dancefloor since the late 90's, he still is one laid back humble dude. Can't wait to gift this to the playa. ;)

DJ Aphrodite aka Gavin King, is the man behind Aphrodite Recordings. It all started way back in the summer of love '88' running an Acid House club called Aphrodite, the namesake has been with him since.
Through various chance meetings with DJs Micky Finn and Claudio Giussani, Urban Shakedown was born. Over the years Aphro's own Aphrodite Recordings and Urban Takeover, a joint lable with Micky Finn followed. The musical progession to Drum n Bass was a natural step over the years through hardcore and jungle.
Aphrodite Recordings is the base outlet for all music with the Aphro signature.
DJ Aphrodite is known for playing out a good vibe that ranges from classics to upfront and exclusive dubplates. Aphro is invited to DJ in countries all over the world.

is this another one of those posts where the poster pretends to be a fan of a performer but actually is the performer?
Telltale signs include:
1) the post sounds like an infomercial for the DJ
2) the poster only signed up for eplaya the day of the post and hasn't posted since except in response to said infomercial...
There's always at least one very year...

Well to me it sounds like he is just a "dite head" and will be the person buying aphrodite's ticket, and plane ticket, and providing him with a place in an rv, and finding him gigs at the big sound camps, he's probably a little late on that last one, so aphro's prolly not gonna be at root, or opulent, but i really don't give a shit. i know where i will get my boogie on and thats deep end and pink mammoth. but there's so much more that doesn't involve techno music that is my burn, i couldn't imagine running around the playa following dj's and sleeping all day, but again those are just my thoughts

I hate all these "Hey everyone let's get (some lame freak no one cares about except a few devoted followers) to come to the playa! (Lame freak) doesn't personally give a shit about BM and wasn't going to go on his/her own, but maybe we can talk him/her into it!"
