The 1st Year Burning Man Experience

Postby Fllow » Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:49 pm

I’ve landed on Burning Man (BM) in Black Rock City (BRC), Nevada. I've never been to this planet. I’m staying at 7:30 and H with Camp "By Us" and celebrating with “Opulent Templeâ€

Was it? ADD? I liked it! Not the drug shit, but Fllow was speaking from his or her heart. Kinda reminds me of delle's inspirational tirades!

Very few posts touch me like that.

Moved it over here where it may receive the attention it deserves, and not get buried in OD again.

 (lmao!!!!)

I also thought it was a lovely rendition of first and lasting impressions.
Sometimes you've just got SHARE, you know??? And sometimes it just takes more words than other times.

Anywhoo... lifting my glass to Fllow and the feelings shared!!

Edited to add that I really hope that Fllow hasn't fllown the coop due to preceived lack of interest in his/her post. It really saddened me to think that the real emotion that went into this heartfelt report went completely unapplauded for so long. Lifting my glass AGAIN! (I'm sooooo going to get fired if I keep drinking on the job like this)

Also took the opportunity to flip the order of presentation so that my SHOCK came first.

(in actual fact it had come second. i just really find this way more visually pleasing, and in celebration of the OP, having better Fflow!)

I also felt it didn't contain enough actual WORDS. Being an avid spewer of written words, the lack of them made me a bit edgy)

Ha! It's not as undignified as all that. Shakespearean monologues qualify.

I just sent whoever this is an email letting them know their post has, at long last, been resurrected and getting the attention it deserved. It will be interesting to see if the OP checks back in and comments.

I totally read it like it was....

"Fear not, dear delle. Be not sad or forlorn
As I shall prove, by words, and seek to mend
(Many words, not mine, shall I twist, meld and bend)
To remove from your heart the poisoned thorn."

(sucks that I couldn't use the word Porn as a closing..... but hey. Next time, ok?)

Quelle gaffe!

Having taken such a disastrously long time to respond to Fishy’s request for iambic pentameter (which I totally had to look up, try to wing on my own, give up and find something already written, try to re-write – WITHIN a stupid little grill thingy that had the */ */ */ */*/ beat marks (that kept shifting around to the wrong spots in the invisible table that I could never quite modify so it looked right) - I of course never saw JK’s post about having contacted the OP until after I’d posted my soliloquy….. which now really BEGS to be readdressed to Fllow……. As it should be.

So, In honour of Fllow, I can only repost “myâ€
