RGJ looking for Burners to interview

Post by geospyder » Tue Nov 09, 2010 11:41 am

From this morning's RGJ 'online'...

http://www.rgj.com/article/20101109/NEWS/101109017

Are you a Burner? The RGJ would like to interview Burning Man participants for a story

November 9, 2010

Reporter Jeff DeLong is interested in hearing from you. What does Burning Man mean to you? Should it continue in its current location as proposed? Why?

Have you noticed any negative impacts on the desert playa? Do you think the desert can handle an annual event that is steadily increasing in size?

Please e-mail your thoughts to DeLong at [email protected] or call him at (775) 788-6328. E-mails should include your full name, city of residence and a phone number for potential follow-up contact.[/url]

You might want to say that RGJ means Reno Gazette Journal.

Just focuses our minds on the question of if we want to be interviewed, rather than the one about "Who's the RGJ and why would I give a rat's ass?"

Why would you want to edit it?

To put Reno Gazette Journal in the title or initial post.
(Although, I agree with you, once I named it, it becomes obvious.)

Yeah, this part is fishy. They are legitimate questions, but who knows what spin the paper will put in its report. Would those of you who read the RGJ describe it as a burning man friendly paper?

yes. the Gazette and the city of Reno are VERY burner friendly. However, I suspect ANY negative comments from a Burner will end up at the hearing.

The slideshow on that BLM website is a great reminder of just how badass the folks who volunteer to clean up after this madness are. The before and after pictures of the structure burn in there are astonishing.
