This is a good spot to tell of some of the better performances you saw on the playa this year.

I saw a bunch of performances, staged and impromtu, but one stands out. Seeing as Gypsy and lola didn't do the whole "abbey road" opera again....

At the hair of the dog bar, around 5:00 and something. I dont know the girls name, but she was dressed in a skirt and top made completely of maxi-pads with a few tampons hanging down as "frilly trim". She was singing a song inspired about her time at Burning man last year at the same camp. It was called "I got fisted at hair of the dog". According to Spanky, whose bar it was, it was a true story. Happened right in front of him on the bar. It wasn't so much the lyrics, which were very touching in their own way, but it was her intensity and commitment to the song. She belted out her memories sith a bottle of jack in one hand, with her cigarette dangling between her fingers. The whole crowd was in to it, and even started to sing the chorus at the end "I got fisted at the hair of the dog". I've never heard a song quite like that, And I've never sang along with one so loud.
