We sat in a line of less than 100 people and it took 2.5 hours to get through ticketing (even though we HAD our tickets) and the passenger 'manifest station'. each pilot must be PRESENT (why?) to present his passengers to the single (and stoned?) person at the window. why is this? nobody could answer that question other than is was the 'BLM' that required it?
Here is a different idea - just take the ticket at the gate and we are done with it. for people that NEED will call, fine.. go to the window.
I took three trips in and on my third trip, even though we had a ticket for my passenger, we just went through gate 1 without even presenting it so that we didn't have to wait in the massive line.
Just a real DOWNER to see something work so BADLY. No wonder they don't elect hippies to public offices.
Are we kidding about the wait at the airport?

I've split this into it's own thread.

The passenger manifest station is almost *definitely* so that people don't end up stranded at the airport with no tickets. You can't fly somebody there, drop them off, and have them not have a realistic way of getting back to anywhere.

The BLM is very strict about preventing unauthorized non-paying air charters. Airport gate operations are much more complex than the main gate, with fewer staff. Nonetheless sure they welcome feedback at the email listed on the burningman website.
