Post by upisaida » Wed Oct 06, 2004 2:57 pm

Does anyone know who was spinning Lush on Mon night/Tues morning around sunrise? We had a blast and I want to track down his music.

OK you lovely people, so is "Lush DJ" my answer or am I still waiting for someone to put me out of my misery? If that's his name, how do I track down his music?

Have you tried going to Tribe to look for Lush? I know El Circo is there- maybe they know each other.

Lush isn't looked upon too highly due to the excessive crap they left behind, so you might not get your answer. Oh, or try contacting the guys who posted about the Lush fundraiser- in the regional section I think.

I'm sure that if you went to the main sight and contacted their contact--WITH AN OFFER TO WIPE HIS SORRY BUTT*--you could get all sorts of info.

*Apparently, he's unable to do that as well.

Thanks for your help sparkletart, I have found my DJ/ecoterrorist and am signing off. Everyone else, feel free to rip on Lush Camp without me.

But as you do, bear in mind that Burning Man's highlights - the Man and the Temple - release many tons of highly toxic MOOP into the atmosphere. So just make absolutely sure that you are bitching because of added clean-up costs to next year's ticket, and not anything to do with our planet.

How about not even higher tickets prices - how about just being rude & arrogant enough to leave large amounts of trash? Expecting others to clean up (even if you could charge for it) is just rude.

At least they plan on the burn clean up.

Didn't you manage to take out your own trash?

Damn, that's true! Now that I have been exposed to this logic, I'm free to throw the trash from my house in the street, since the all the Oakland city buses and other vehichles spew out so much pollution. All who dare criticize me I can dismiss as the hypocrites they are!

Right on KellY! I am gonna dump some crap out of the window of my truck on the way home just to protest air pollution too! I think we all should. Don't bother putting out your trash in the can either ... dump it in the street! We are JUSTIFIED!

It would have been funny, though, for DPW to have "returned" their MOOP to them after the cleanup last weekend. "I believe this is yours? You must have run out of space so we packed it out for you. You're welcome!"

I don't want to pick on Lush ... I would say that goes for anyone that left a pile of MOOP behind. It just sounds to me so far like Lush left a bigger pile than anyone else though I can't say for sure 'cause I wasn't there.

Maybe it's a matter of training. We should communicate to them that the community doesn't appreciate it but I hoping BMorg has said something to them already.
