Looking for F-Stop fire percussionist

This year at BM there was a band F-Stop that had a guy who played a percussion instrument that shot fire out of each side. I'm interested in creating a fire breathing drum of my own, and would like to talk with him. If anybody knows who it is, please respond.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry about getting the band name wrong. Does that fire drum belch flames when you strike it, or to you use a peddle to time the fire burst with the drum strike?

I thinkk youhad the name right. I saw them 2 different nights on the playa and thought they com-pletely rocked. It looked like he did have a pedal that controlled the gas.

I heard about this, but never found it. My friends reported that there were drum triggers hooked up to solenoid valves. Hit a drum, the trigger fires the propane. Different sizes, etc. for different triggers. Sort of a "Poor Man's LHPO". I am considering something like it for 2005...

The drum was more of a tube with steel cables of different lengths run parallel along it. The wires/cables were hit with the drum stick producing a drum like sound. The flames seemed to be controlled with a pedal and would shoot out the ends of the tube. At least from what I could tell in my BM frame of mind.

I thoroughly enjoyed them and loved seeing live music on the playa. I caught them late Wed night (early Thurs) I think it was, then again Fri night....I think. For some reason it's all just a big wonderful dusty haze.
