how many tickets sold?

Post by liesl » Fri Aug 12, 2005 2:53 pm

no one responded to this in the tickets section, so i'm posting it here...

I'm just curious - and I haven't found this information anywhere - how many tickets have been sold to Burning Man? Do they release this kind of information?

I don't think that they tell you that. They do keep a count of people on the playa for the BLM and there is a total number of dollars made on the years event (only money source is tickets, I believe) although the dollar amount is released later, this year it was June or July. So you could go to the afterburn report, multiply the number of low-cost tickets out, subtract from the total dollar amount and do the division.

If jolly burner is driving towards the play in a 45 motor home at 50 mph and leaves from San Francisco at 4:27 am on August 29 with a bath room break of 15 minutes every 2 hours and Moose burner leaves San Francisco in a SUV and has to get gas every 200 miles when does moose pass jolly?

If they leave at the same time, the SUV will pass the motorhome on the Bay Bridge. 4:45 a.m.

10 minutes outside of SF, since that is where the motor home broke down (if the bathroom doesn't work, nothing else probably does either!)
