Guerilla projects for out of towners?

Post by Dork » Thu Aug 18, 2005 2:35 pm

In my usual fashion, I'm already thinking of what I could work on for next year. I'll be living overseas and would only have about a week of in-country prep time before heading up. I'm trying to think of projects that are mostly design, software, etc and where the actual build time could be very low if planned well.

Anyone know of existing projects like this or have any thoughts on what could work?

Performances are out for me, I'm just not the type. I'm looking for something that could be built and stand on its own.

BORG2 at around F and 2:00 is supposed to have a boatload of supplies and stuff for people that want to build something at the event. You might look into it.

I'll definitely check them out and see what people come up with. I'm more interested in something I can obsessively plan all year rather than something to throw together on-playa.

create a GAME.

minimal tech, maximal obsessive pondering (ie trying to create the rules).

call your game, say, SPORK.

actually, you can start _this_ year.

just ask, "Do you want to play SPORK?"

and have something to say when people say either,

a) what's that?

or

b) sure, how do you play?

enjoy!
