Postby jc » Sun Feb 06, 2005 6:45 pm

I am interested in illuminatining a large art sculpture on the playa. What are some different power sources being used ( solar, fuel generators, long extension cords)? Perhaps you could direct me fo mo fo?

Your local hardware mega store should carry a low voltage solar / battery powered yard / garden lighting setup. If thats what you had in mind, or you could build one similar to a commercial unit to suit your needs. Generators work well, but require tending. Artists frequently use generators with their projects on the playa, perhaps you could share the cost / maintenance with someone.
