The Spirit Room is almost completely booked, thanks to the musical talents of the Black Rock community. But I have a few more slots I'd like to fill.

The Spirit Room is:

A space for live music that will move you.
A space where the spirit and music will be present
A place where great live music can be found

What kind of music will I find there?

A vocal jazz accapella group, a chamber ensemble, a few groove bands, a few singer/songwriters, and others, maybe you? (I hope for a good rock band, some classical musicians, a drum troupe with some dancers??)

We still have space for your music if you would like to be a part of an amazing musical experience this year on the playa.

What I am looking for?

Good, live music, any genre, (except DJ/house/techno, sorry, it must be live, turntables MUST be accompanied by a band). If you have written a few songs and would like to perform them, cool. If you play flute and want a great place to play, please reply. If you are a band, and you can show up at a set time, right on. I'm open to the kind of music, I just ask that you do not show up sloppy drunk, and that you respect the essence of the music. It may be possible for you to have some rehearsal time early on in the week also. we can talk...If you are a singer and need an accompanist, bring a chart and I may be able to help you out.

this will be a very special, sacred space in which to play music.

AT THIS LATE DATE, I WOULD LOVE TO FIND CLASSICAL MUSIC OF ANY KIND, DRUM TROUPES, TABLA &/OR SITAR, OR SOMETHING VERY UNIQUE. OF COURSE IF YOU DON'T FIT THESE, AND YOU WANT TO PLAY, THAT'S FINE TOO..
