gifting from a virgin
I have paid close attention to all written mat'l about Bman. The one that really got me is the gift system. I am a seamstress and i knit and crochet. I work with organics and all types of beads. I have endevered to make a part of me a gift. This makes me very happy, to devote 1 year to making works of art to gift..whooohooo

They came from the 66 cent store. Looked like they could recharge
by shaking which moves a magnet thru a coil of wire.
They're cheap and a life test on 2 showed they'ed light the LED for
30 hrs or more. Adequate for a week of BM.

These flashlights were later found to be fake.
The wires from the coil around a moving magnet were not
connected to anything. Still they were dirt cheap and seemed
to work for 30 hours or more on the 3 internal button cells.
Seen real ones for $15 to 20

Gifting idea
My bride & I are first time burners this year, and we're in a bit of a disagreement over gifting. Being a Boy Scout Leader, it makes sense that some of the things I would carry for gifting fall under the whole "Be Prepared" mindset. I have a line on a butt-load of small LED flashlights. Only hitch is, they are "mistakes;" they have a name/company name & phone number (random, each are different, rejected by the company for color, font, etc.)
Would that violate the ban on corporate logos/giveaways? How literal is that rule interpreted? I am not affiliated with the companies, just taking advantage of someone's mistake.

Re: Gifting idea
I have made necklaces out of small keychain flashlights and have covered up the logo with a small sticker with a miniature ticket on it. I also have used images of the Man on the other side. This year, I am painting the flashlights and stenciling the shape of the BM logo on both sides.Ozzie wrote:My bride & I are first time burners this year, and we're in a bit of a disagreement over gifting. Your creativity and can really come out as you try to cover up the corporate logo on it. Glue, rhinestones, stickers, paint---have a wild time making some very cool gifts!
