and now we got Pabst using burning man as a sales tool.

I am not trying to be mean, just calling it like I see it.
We got some really cool bumper stickers from the girl who had them made...

Pabst Blue Ribbon...The beer that waters the Playa!
Done to look exactly like the Pabst Logo! Nice!!!
Ok, lets talk about this one statement above. A "girl" gave them these bumper stickers that advertise pabst, yet she is just a "girl". What do you think her interest is in Pabst?

I say that daddyo was being a bit deceptive with that statement. The girl is probably the pabst salesperson.

Daddyo, could you please tell us about THIS GIRL and why she had Pabst bumper stickers made that uses our camping trip place as an advert?

Hey, I have no problem with us knowing the store is well stocked, open and ready for business. I have made many posts and threads about stores, gas stations being opened.

I called the Empire Store last night asked them the hours, talked to them about staying open all night opening day and I POSTED The information.

Finally, no one has to be defensive, just explain yourself if you think your opinon has a value.

I really don't see the hostility that Deb speaks of, just people having a civil discussion, and working out their differances.
Allright...real quick...I am home on lunch and I wanted to at least let you know I have read your post!

I said a "girl" because that is what I was told when I asked where the extra bumper stickers came from! A BURNER NOT a Pabst sales person gave us one the other night! I met him and we talked for a while...very nice guy! He is building the city and his name is George! I would say he is probably supervision by the way he was talking! HE gave us the first one. It is on our front door right there along with ALL the other Burning Man stickers! There's NO sales person for Pabst! The Girl was a burner too! I was told the "GIRL" saw the sticker on the front glass door and said "I see you like my stickers...here's a few more!"
I asked George the other night..."What is the big deal with the PBR???"
He then told me it was just part of the BM culture! THAT'S WHY I posted the little blurb about the bumper stickers! Sheesh!!! Does EVERYBODY have ulterior motives???
Fuck...I am going to be late punching back in...SEEYA!!!

OH YEAH...
The water the Ice the beer the gas were just quick rolled up answers to questions that were posted earlier...as well as the hours!

Empire also has storage unit rentals. No idea if any are open.
Bruno's has food, gas and rooms. The rooms have been booked all year for this week by LEAs.
I think that's it. There is a store in Nixon, too.

DJ_John69, if you are referring to the resources newsletter yesterday, I believe that is officespeak. IMHO, bmorg wants to appear unbiased and seeks to support all businesses in Gerlach/ Empire/ Reno areas, without endorcing anyone. It's politics. The pumps in Empire AND Gerlach AND Reno are running. Ohh, and Wadsworth and Fernley and all points, get it ?

My local gas in northern california is $2.89 now. I imagine prices will go up little over $3.00 here, prior to Labor Day weekend. I imagine in Nevada they will also go up this next week in the three dollar range. If you budget $4/gal. you should be safe. YMMV.

Try http://gasbuddy.com They show current prices in Reno/ Sparks at $2.69 per gallon at the Arco stations. You might want to save gasbuddy to your favorites list for easy reference.

Hi Oldguy, i do use Gasbuddy. Its a great website.

I imagine that gas will be hitting close to $4.00 towards BRC. Hell, i'm in Spanish Springs on Pyramid Highway and the gas is almost $3.00 out here.

At the time of the interview for The Jack Rabbit Speaks...we didn't have any gas yet! The most important thing in my father-in-law's mind was stocking groceries. There wasn't enough $$$$$ to do both. At the last minute some very generous people loaned him enough for a load of gas. It is here and we are operational.

No this is not an advertisement!

That's wonderful! And I for one have almost always stopped there for gas. So what are you asking per gallon for regular vs. the competition? Frankly. for a dime more per gallon (or so) I would just as soon buy from you. I thought the price (I believe it was) last year at $4.20 per gallon was funny as all hell. No one else got it in my RV, but I digress. Unless of course it wasn't meant as some kind of a "Burners are all a bunch of stoners" joke. Personally I do not do that sort of thing, but we sure like our wine.

And please make your tacos edible. Ugh.
