Deep Cycle batteries
Just picked up 4 of these in Petaluma for pretty cheap. Nice guy too. He's got about 30 of these. Thought I'd let you guys know for anyone here looking to pick some up for their solar setups and such.

Howdy,
What are the specs on those batteries...price specifically! What brand, running time, etc. I have been desirous of a solar setup/battery backup so we dont have to run the generator all night just to run lights in our camp!
ANywhat,...lemme know if ya get the chance. (ps. the CL link does not work)

If you look at the date I posted this, it was some time ago now, so yes, the expired CL link doesn't work anymore.apollobob wrote:Howdy,

They were 12v, ~180AH batteries. He was selling the for $50 a pop, but they are all gone by now from what I know. I'd keep my eye on CL for other people offering batteries. All the ones I have now (4x 12v, 180AH and 4x 6v 220AH) I found there.

Check out craigslist.org - I purchased (4) 100AH deep cycle batteries from this guy in San Francisco. He had 30 of them and was asking for $30 bucks each. I checked out stores and online for something similar, but you can't find anything new close to that size for triple the cost. They hold a charge and work great!
I also found an inverter on craigslist for $10. It’s only 400 watts, but since I already have a 1000 watt for full time duty this will be a back up. Lastly the best place I found for chargers was West Marine. I purchased a 30 AMP charger for $90 bucks. It’s the West Marine brand, but I’ve had no problems with it.
THANKS CRAIGSLIST!!!

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!

Mighty interested in Batteries...
I have a Golf Cart / wanabe art car, that I use to take care of Media Mecca Duties durring the day and to get psycho with throughout the night, so still have batteries?
So my cart is 36 volt, Cushman, from the 80's, and last year, I switched out the 6 6 volts to 3 12 volts, and the cart worked OK, when I got back it was still fine, then, Now, the cart wont move, I think I may need fresh batteries, and or another charger.
Feel free to let me know the down low and we'll roll.

You asked me to keep an eye out for an extra ticket. I have a line on one, you still need it? Reply here if yes, and we can figure out something.
(PM system here is being obstinate, that's why I didn't just call you - that's where your phone number is.)

Cool if that's the case. If you could pass word on to him (just to make sure) and have him reply, that would be more-or-less awesome.
(The guy who can't go would like the ticket to go to someone who helped our camp, but he's getting antsy about holding it, too. So the dude gave me until this afternoon to get a hold of him...)
