I have a bunch (about 15?) axles from a pre-constructed house that was moved into place. They are pretty hefty but are considered one time use items. Basically they have been used numerous time but officially need to be recertified. They would be great for a trailer to haul burningman stuff. Free for any burners who'll use them. Have the tires that go on them too. They are odd rims.
Also I keep collecting glass pickle jars and have nothing to do with them.

You you are just giving them away. Where are they at. Thanks.

I love jars. They are really exciting to me. Something about their stability and reusability just draws me to them. If i had a bigger house I would keep all of my jars. But I'm rambling again. . .MikeVDS wrote: Also I keep collecting glass pickle jars and have nothing to do with them.

If you still have the axles, do you think they could support a large container? what they call hi cube 9'tall x 40' long shipping container. I have a couple that I could turn into art trailers. 10,000lbs empty

They supported sections of a house, with cabinets, faucets, etc in. The sections were about 10'x40'. I think each section had 4-5 axles though I didn't see the set-up. 3 sections and about 15 axles I believe. I would think they'd do the job, though you may want to use more than 2. They are pretty heavy duty though.

...if these are like the ones I found, they use them 6 per 90,000 lbs house (or about 15,000 lbs per axle). They make great axles for trailers that are going to be full of dancing people becuase there is very little deflection in the springs even with 20 people or so (4000lbs or so). I made 3 trailers several years ago and they were the smoothest pulling trailers ever (very little bouncing, etc). Spare parts can be had at your local Mobile Home company (that uses them to move their homes around). I got mine for the $90 deposit on each set....
