CAMPER VANS TO RENT OUT OF SF
CAMPER VANS TO RENT OUT OF SF
I just found this company out of San Francisco that rents sleep in camper vans for a pretty cheap price. Has anyone ever rented from them? Seems pretty reasonable and affordable.

Did you notice that thing is a Chevy AstroVan, a mini-van! Not much carrying or towing capacity, and awfully small inside. It's got no real amenities. I think you're better off with a rental truck, which you can un-playafy inside and out with a pressure washer before you return it.

Ummm Spam. No. I was asking if anyone has ever used these vans because I was thinking about renting one. I thought this is an area where you could ask for help preparing for Burning Man. This is my first time going to Burning Man and I have no idea of what works. I found this company on the web. I just thought this would be a good alternative to a RV being that we are flying in to SF and would like to sleep in our auto. Anyway, Thank you to those who offered some helpful advice..these are the people I hope to meet on the Playa.
Also, packing the necessities such as food. What is available out there and what is not. I am under the impression that we should be 100% prepared for ourselves with food and drink.
Cant wait for for the end of Aug!!!
Thanks

Good of you to explain ... sometimes we get people who pretend to be burners in order to advertise. That's not cool. Yes, this is a good place to ask questions. we're a rowdy bunch, don't forget your sense of humor, you'll need it. Do go to the Introduce yourself thread and say howdy, great way to meet people, as is the Bar thread down in General Discussion.

Oh, hell yeah, I'll be glad to meet you and I'll make you a frosty margarita out there... as with all "real" people.
Your post did look very suspiciously like one of the spams we get on here, basically just a link to an advertiser, and that'll always draw fire. But, real burners, new or old, are always welcome.
You understand correctly, you need to be 100% self sufficient. Nothing is available, except ice and porta-potties. And margaritas, if you see my boat.

It is but you are new here and you have to understand we get all sorts of people advertising their products here. Burning Man being the anti-commerce bastion that it is we are very weary of someone with 1 total post coming and posting a link to a product site.I thought this is an area where you could ask for help preparing for Burning Man.
As far as how eplaya works... You need to remember that eplaya is not THE playa and you will find all sorts of crazy bastards here. We will make fun of you and we might even make you cry at times but we still love you. Thick skin is the first requirement for eplaya. Don't take anything too personally and you'll get along just fine here.

I just wanted to post this because I have had a few PM's asking me where I rented my van from. I am not advertising here, I am just passing on information that I used and might be helpful to others. I am attending Burningman for the first time and am very excited about it. After checking out all the options we decided to book a van through a company called lostcampersusa . They are based in San Francisco and far from corporate...run by two Aussies.
Anyway I hope this helps out the people who need it and I will see you at the BURN!!
