Seeking a Yamaha Carb For A 4KW Generator
Seeking a Yamaha Carb For A 4KW Generator
I'm looking for a carburetor for a 4000 watt Yamaha generator.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
It's urgent since I'm off the grid.
Thanks.

How do you know you need to replace the whole carb ?
Most probs on Yamaha carbs can be fixed by replacing the screwy little float on it, maybe the needle also.
The carb for that thing is going to be around $350, more if it is newer.
float and needle about $60

Wow, there must be a story behind that.....
Good luck...be sure to order your carb through an AUTHORIZED Yamaha dealer, or it will take weeks -vs- days to get your carb, plus it will make it easier to return/exchange if the wrong one is accidentally ordered or any other problem might arise.
When you find out exactly which model you have , be sure to let us know..........

Oh yeah, I forgot.
My friend that works at the small engine place said the carb was already missing on the one that was in thier scrapped pile.
He said the replacement from his shop was $160, so that $94 one is a fair price if you can't find a used one.
good luck....

I picked up the Yamaha.
It is missing the carb, pull start- retract thingamabob and kill switch.
And it seems to have been run over.
The engine will spin.
That's all I know so far.
Dick, do they want to sell the one they have at that shop?
And do they have that pull start thing?
What's a generator like this worth when running?
Any thoughts?
