I noticed that many of our fellow burners are having trouble finding a ride to Black Rock City or need someone to share the cost of travel. If you're not having any luck with the official "ride share" page, we're getting a number of requests and offers under the "find a burner to car pool with in 2009" thread.

Sometimes it's easier to deal with a smaller community because most of us are veteran burners who know each other quite well. At any rate it never hurts to have additional tools at your disposal. ~Be Well

Hello there,
I would like to know if there is someone that could help me to get a ride from SF or Marin County to BRC?
I am by my own, from France, first time burner, will be with my bike and my bag pack.
As I will be volunteering for the Playa cafe it will be my pleasure to pay you the coffee!! As well as share the gas and help you driving (i have my Californian driving license)
I am very friendly, easy going and a funny person.

Just an update here....

Most members of the Sinister Minister camp will now be arriving on Saturday 8/29/09 so we have enough time for preliminary setup. If you want to get in at that time you'd have to be a member of our camp or have some other kind of work pass. The specific locations drivers with room are traveling from can be found in the link cited at the top.

Anyone that wants to hook up for a ride should make arrangements by Tuesday 08/25/2009. Most members of the our camp will be off-line after that date.
