San Francisco - Help Wanted!

Post by InnocentWhenYouDream » Tue Jul 21, 2009 3:59 am

We are 5 UK first time burners coming to SF for 3 days before heading to Reno.

Does anyone have any recommendations for hotel suites/apartments/hostels/B&Bs etc. that could house us all.
I guess we would like something fun and young, in a good neighbourhood that wont break the bank.

Any suggestions most welcome...

Rory

The tenderloin. Downtown SF. There are a number of hostels down here. Very cheap, very cool people. There are usually some other burners around too during crunch time. And if hostels aren't your thing there are also a number of cheap hotels in the area. If you end up around here let me know, I know the hood very well. Shoot me a message if you guys end up rolling through. Drinks on me. :D

Here is a google list of hostels in the area.

I like the Hotel Triton. It's a cool, hip boutique hotel with excellent service and very reasonable prices. It's near Union Square and is also directly across the street from the Dragon Gate entrance into Chinatown. The rooms aren't terribly large - with five of you, you'll have to share a bed, floor space etc. Here's the link: http://www.hoteltriton.com/

Good luck!
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

The San Remo in San Francisco. Reasonable but books fast. Check it.

thanks guys!!!
I think we might rent a house for a few days, although the couch surfing idea is amazing.
Do you have 3.5 couches??? We could probably make do with 3. Depends on the size of those US sofas!!!
