Is anyone heading out from NC that would be willing to share driving/fuel?

when are you leaving, and what are you driving? I may know one or two people who are going kind of last- minute.

I don't know when to leave. Whenever is good I guess. I checked the ride share and was surprised to read how early people left. I checked the map to see how long it would take and was even more surprised.

I think I am just going to let it go for this year, and plan ahead for 2010.

Many of the NC folk I know (I'm coming from SC) aren't going this year, or are flying. Check out all the NC tribes on tribe.net, or post an ad on Craigslist...

Yeah, I have a diesel and estimate that gas alone is going to cost $400, for that I might as well fly, and fly in for that matter. I am still on the fence about going though. Thanks for the tribes.net tip...

I am flying to Reno and am looking for someone driving out this week from or through Asheville, NC who may have room for a tent and two hoops.

Ideally you would be arriving in BRC on Monday or even better Reno Sat/Sunday...

Raleigh/Cary. I think that says it all.

Got a 2000 VW diesel. Gets pretty good miles, in good shape...goodness only knows what the price of fuel will be next year... Have you been before Orchid?
