Shipping container space available in Seattle

Post by SissTeD » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:56 am

So after a very harrowing trip down and back on an overloaded truck, we've decided to ship our 7+ tons of stuff down in a container next year. The plan is to load it here, ship it to BM 2011, and leave it down there (either at Brunos, or one of the other places available). If you have ever taken tons of stuff to the playa, you know how valuable it is to not have to haul it hundreds of miles each year.

The container we have is 40' long and we only need half of it. It's outfitted with doors on both sides and we've erected a wall in the center. This effectively creates two completely separate storage units.

We're looking for someone who needs the second unit and is willing to split some of the costs. We're in the Seattle area and it would be ideal to find someone up here, but it's possible that we could work with someone out of California, Oregon, or any of the other states between here and BRC.

Another caveat of this is that we will have to register our camps in such a way as to ensure that they are in close proximity to one another. It would be very difficult any other way.
