Free parachute for shade, Clearlake, CA

Old parachute about 30 feet in diameter. No guarantee as to any possible deterioration of the fabric, but it seems OK to me.

Located in Clearlake, Lake County, CA., but can be transferred for pickup at a friend's house in Davis, near Sacramento.

Hey there!
Anything can be shipped. It is a matter of cost. This parachute is surprisingly large and heavy, and Chicago is a long ways. You may be better off buying one locally. But if you are still interested, I can get an estimate from UPS.

Cool!
Yes, Clearlake or Davis, in California, are the intended pickup points. Shipping it is probably not realistic -- might cost more than the item costs at a local surplus store.
What did you have to pay, anyway?

I found a 24' greenish parachute for $24. It comes with this handy carrying bag. it IS much heavier than i thought. I'm not sure how I will use it yet but I have time to figure it out.

Is it still available? I could pick up in Davis; I'm 30 mins away on highway 80.
