Looking for a burner with shabiri skills for a costume idea

Post by Kimera Azriel » Wed May 04, 2011 11:46 am

I am getting married on playa the second day of Burningman. I will be arriving a week early as I and my fiancee have a theme camp but we are also lamplighters:). I have an idea to have a specific shabiri rope work put on me for the wedding. If you are interested in helping out contact me. Thanks. Many thanks.

I have seen some beautiful playa weddings and I'm sure yours will be epic. Not an answer, but related http://www.fashionpeach.com/bridal-gown ... aitjacket/

correction: Shibari is what I'm talking about. A body harness is what I need. Whith the last knot left untied so my fiancee can do it up in the cerimony.

Thanks for the link. In the right direction. I'm going for a backless dress to show off the rope work.

kimera, you might check out fetlife.

the guy who runs the indianapolis rope group on there is a burner...he and his lady friend were on the playa last year and i believe they intend to go again this year. he can probably give you lots of great information. shoot me a PM if you'd like his name. but even barring that, fetlife is a great place to find both shibari experts and burners. :)

also, you might hit up the suspended animation folks. great group of people with mad rope skills...hotness.

and hey...congratulations to you! i'm sure your ceremony will be beautiful. :)

Thanks. I am on FL. I'll ask around in there too. Your dreads look great BTW. :)

I just learned how to make my own too. I have white single teils in. I love them. Some one down the block from me is now asking me to make her some. Cool!

Let me know what you want to do... My name is Gadget and I have Camp Shibari and we are doing a Shibari teahouse at Burningman. I can help you out with your idea...
