Ride from Reno to Play

Post by wbmichael » Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:31 am

Hey all,

My name is Will and I've been having some difficulty finding solid information regarding a transportation from Reno Airport to the Playa.

I've called the Reno Airport and they don't seem to have any solid information either on the shuttle service as of yet. Where else should I look?

Basically, I'm looking for a ride from the Airport to the playa. I will be arriving in Reno around 12:00 noon on Tuesday Aug 30th and would like to get on playa as soon as possible thereafter. If anyone can assist me with this that would be awesome. It'll be just me and a carry-on. I can be a flexible with time, put up a little gas money and assist with a little driving if needed for any tired drivers.

Please and many thank yous ahead of time.

Rides from the airport to BRC are easy to come by even if not prearranged. There will be a BM information station at the airport to assist you when you arrive. Additionally, there is always the ride share board you could post on if you want to try and have something prearranged.

Ever since the Bio Bus got a huge fine, there is no more direct bus shuttle service to the playa.

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hi Will,

Post here:

Be sure to mention it if you need time to pick up food and water, or otherwise shop in Reno. (The people who give you a ride may need to shop.) If you don't have those things with you and don't shop, I imagine you know that it's necessary to have a friend on the inside of the event who is bringing those things for you.

There's also this thread from two weeks ago about the rideshare desk that springs up at the Reno airport, usually on the first floor near the baggage carousel. Better to plan your ride, but if it falls through, all is not lost. :)
