Thought I would start a thread for anyone on the east coast whose trip to the burn has been made harder by hurricane Irene. I was supposed to fly straight to Reno on Sunday but now I'm leaving saturday morning and have to stay a day in Chicago before getting a connection to Reno the next day. Bleh.

It makes it hard for me being as that I'm shaking in my board shorts waiting for solid 8-10 foot storm waves on the N FL coast Saturday morning.. and still so much to do before leaving Sunday.. 
..but no, seriously. How crappy of timing can you get. My heart goes out to everyone that's about to get pounded by this bitch. She's no joke. I'm in Orlando, FL right now and the winds are already reaching to us here. When this thing hits NC, it's not going to be pretty..

I'm sorry for all affected by Irene. Those of you who will be arriving later then planned, rejoice when you get here, remind yourself you persevered through whatever to get here. That's what counts. Come Hell or High Water, my feet will walk the Playa next week...can't wait to meet BRC.
