OK, I'm not donating the sewing machine, but I do have some interesting fabrics that might work for some of you:

Fleece in neon green, purple and (I think) red.
Lots of cotton prints
Some "fancy" material with metallic threads.
Laces, etc.

I love making costumes for Halloween. Would be happy to help someone make something reasonably simple.

I also meant to say that one of my best skills is knowing where to FIND cool fabrics, etc. at factory sales, old shops with too much inventory, good sales/clearances, etc. (No, I don't own any fabric stores ... though that WOULD be heavenly.)

If there's something particular you want, let me know and I can help you find it ...

There is a group in the city (sf) that has rented space and some sewing machines and gets together to make costumes. The info should be in an old jackrabbit speaks--there's a link on the main site to the archives. I'd say sometime in the last 3 to 6 months before the 04 event.

Da birdie is thinking of Stitch in Hayes Valley...if I was in the City more often, I would certainly be checking them out.

Anything purple is mine. Anything else can be dyed or painted.

How do I find wholesale decoration suppliers? I am looking for a way to contact several holiday decoration manufacturers and I can't find the businesses online anywhere. A couple of these are milliken and good tidings.

I want to bring 12 blank flags or pennants to fly from our camp and to gift to neighbors.

I am without sewing machine and am looking for options that would make for suitable flags to bring and bling out and fly.

I'm thinking cotton ish material, maybe acrylic or spray paint with stencils.

Ideally I don't think I should spend more than 5 bucks for a flag and something to fly it with.
