Workshops and Events at Camp Amazon

I missed the deadline for the WhatWhereWhen (I thought it was July 30th, not the 20th), so I submitted them to the calendar anyway, and am submitting them here so others can find them.

Every evening beginning on Monday around dusk, we'll be having our training circle. Basic foam swords, and a few basic rules. We'll also have eskrima sticks and some bo staffs available for people who are willing to do some more traditional pattern work.

Our obstacle course will be open on Monday, and will be available anytime of the day or night for people who are game. Elements of it will vary day to day.

We'll have a workshop making foam swords on Tuesday from 3pm-5pm (ish). Supplies are extremely limited, but while they last anyone who makes one gets to leave with a sword they can play with.

Our leatherworking workshop is on Wednesday, also from around 3-5. There will be scrap leather, tools, grommets, etc. The leather is very limited, so if anyone wants to bring their own to embellish, that's great too.

We'll be having a penannular pins workshop on Thursday at about the same time. You can make a basic brooch to pin a lightweight cloak (or scarf, or whatever) using an iron-age design. We'll be bringing steel wire for this; if you have other materials at hand that you'd like to use instead, bring them.

We've been placed at 9:00 and Amnesia (hi neighbors!), and will have banners up so you can find us.
