One of the most important things you can do is is help Robbidobbs with the portapotties. It consists of education--mostly no handiwipes or two ply down into the blue goo (they consist of cotton and clog the machines).

Thank you very much Plumeria for your interest in volunteering on your first year. I know how excited you are, and this is a wonderful way to learn more about yourself and this fabulous Community.
Poop Patrol is one of the most critical volunteer projects on the Playa. We see to it that the Event continues, by educating the poopulation about Excremental Correctness.

The shift is 4 hours, you get fed at Kommissary, and you get a scarf and t-shirt (high cool value - no really, very precious on the Playa). It's an easy gig. You get to see the entire city, and learn more about what this crazy festival is all about. I'm a 12 year veteran - just ask me anything. Virgins are some of my best volunteers. So much enthusiasm! And they listen to my bullshit.
