So that's it. Drop Waterdragon an email if your camp/group would like to take things over a bit for a evening.Jellybean wrote:First off, if a group of folks shows up to light, we aren't turning them away!!Capjbadger wrote:What exactly is involved with a group "sponsoring" a night of lighting? FYI Everyone.
So get to your communities and try and recruit theme camps or groups of burners.
Many hands make light work.

It would be real nice though if we could get enough groups signed up on different nights so we can make sure to spread it out some. In return for this commitment from them (besides the joy of lighting and our undying thanks) we'll make a concerted effort to see that they get signed up together on a route.
Also, chances are that by the group making the commitment to show up together, they're more likely to come and more folks in their group will be able to make it if they know about it in advance. (Like us saying we'll go do a Greeters shift, they know we're coming and we know to be ready for it way in advance.)
How does this happen?
Real easy. Someone from their group emails [email protected] with an approximate number of folks coming and a preferred day they want to light. She'll confirm. Then we see them on their chosen night to light.
Unofficially, we go visit them on the afternoon of their chosen night and lavish them in affection and praise

Don't worry, we get you back in time for all the evening/night fun.
