PG&E - Mostly Perimeter & Exodus - maybe pick up some Gate proper shifts this year...
No, I don't have extra tickets. Don't ask me how to sneak in. I don't care if you are Larry's lover. If you arn't on Gate road, you have to deal with me or my crew. (By the way, Since Burning Man happens of Federal Land - any LE related tickets/citations/etc have Federal consequences...)

Off-playa with the local Piazza group, I think.
My wife is into it, so I'll at least tag along and make sure people have full beers or something along those lines.

Re: Where Are You Volunteering in 2016..... ?
Since February 16 (when I was asked to be the Deputy Volunteer Coordinator for the Airport) I have sent out 118 airport volunteer Welcome Letters to folks who have just indicated in their Volunteer Profile that they would like to volunteer at the airport. And, since no one kept track before, I have no idea how this number is stacking up against previous years. If the same rate continues, I would guess that I might send out over 300 Welcome Letters this year.
Many of these folks also indicated in their Volunteer Profile that they would like to volunteer at other venues also. So, it would only be pure speculation as to how many of them were actually able to purchased tickets and how many will actually end up signing-up for a Airport volunteer slot on Shiftboard.
Last year, there were ~250 volunteer shifts available at the airport and this year, there should be around ~300 volunteer shifts. With over 2,300 Burners arriving and departing via the airport last year (and more expected this year) it takes a good number of volunteers to make it all happen and happen smoothly.
Last year, the vast majority of airport volunteers lived in the city, had no airport or aircraft experience and had never volunteered at the airport before. Only a scant few volunteer jobs at the airport do require any aircraft knowledge and these are mostly the Unicom radio operators. Like the main gate, the airport has Greeters, Customs Agents (to give a little LNT and Burner orientation), a bell ringer and dust angle maker supervisor, Know-It-All (which is a combination of question/answer and where airport volunteers sign in/out of their shifts), Interceptors who meet new arriving aircraft and help the pilot complete their passenger manifest (clothing optional) and a covered combination bus and taxi stand waiting area with a paisley colored padded bench and cold coconut water drinks in a cooler (just checking to see it you are still reading).
In addition to being the second gate at the event, the airport also has its own theme camp: Black Rock Travel Agency (BRTA). There are plenty of free and non-reserved camping areas and the toilets are generally cleaner than they are in the city. Since the airport is located at Point 5 of the city, you can walk into the city via the 5:00 radial, but bikes are highly recommended. I used the odometer on my trike last year and it measured 2.5 miles from the airport to the temple which is not all that much further than from the outer ring of the city to the temple.
Like most theme camps (BRTA), the Airport has several "happening" during the event that are open to anyone coming out: A Saturday morning pancake brunch (usually with blueberry pancakes and bacon), a Tuesday afternoon cocktail party specializing in White Russians and Rum Punch and we even have an art burn one evening (the date changes each year). And, there are usually several interactive light and art displays.
Never mind me. I am just rattling on. It is a slow day around the farm today and I am just writing to keep from going to sleep and counting the days until my Hot Pink leg cast is removed (only 12 more days to go).

Do you by chance know a fella that goes by the name Airport Mayor and his wife Heidi? At least I think they're married
I'm not sure if he actually is an "airport mayor" or if its just a name. The have been shift leads at Ice Cubed a few times.
