Airport Volunteer Shiftboard is Now Open and Shifts Are Filling...

A unique and distinctive culture emerges from the Burning Man experience. Rooted in the values expressed by the Ten Principles, this culture is manifested around the globe through art, communal effort, and innumerable individual acts of self-expression. To many, it is a way of life.

STILL WITH ME ? ? ?
Great!! Here are a few more Airport and Burning Man Things that you might be interested in and to get you connected with the Airport Community:

OPEN & FREE CAMPING AT -- THE BLACK ROCK CITY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT:
If you are not yet aware; there are acres of open & free camping at the airport. Be mindful though, it is about a mile into Center Camp and even further out to the Man, the Temple and all the great art & other doings that are happening on the open playa. So unless you are a well conditioned hiker, you are going to want to bring your bike.

BUS STOP & BUS SERVICE -- FROM AIRPORT into BLACK ROCK CITY:
It is our understanding that there will be bus service from the Airport into Black Rock City. The bus stop will be located very close to the main Airport complex and the bus makes runs into the city "about" every 20 to 45 minutes. These shuttles will connect passengers to routes out to the 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock sides of the city. The shuttle will not make stops at specific camps or deviate from the route, so you may have to carry your luggage the rest of the way to your camp. Shuttle busses will run only during the normal day light hours that the Airport is open. Where will it stop in the City? We do not know and we may never know. You will have to ask around when you arrive at the Airport. Or, there might be information posted at the bus stop. Who knows; this is Burning Man and nothing ever runs on a schedule.

VOLUNTEER -- BURNING MAN IS SO MUCH MORE FUN WHEN YOU GET INVOLVED:
Remember, flying in to BRC is just the start! Burning Man takes place in a remote and unforgiving environment. It is your responsibility to prepare yourself, and to bring everything you need to survive and thrive.
